The Eaglepoint Experience

March 16-17, 2013

Since summer has started already, let be my second post for this year be ‘in’.  This year, I was lucky to join Guian and his YUP/Subdivison friends for their yearly summer get away at Eaglepoint, Anilao, Batangas.

Below is my first meal at the island and I really regret not eating a lot because my tummy cannot contain more food. But they really have good food! My favorites are Tocino and Bangus. <3

After the breakfast buffet and short preparation in our place, we took our way for Island hopping at Sepoc Island.

Bumped into a neighbor who’s on their company outing! Small world, indeed!

After exploring a part of the island, time flew very fast that the buffet lunch was already served. Delicious food were then again served plus unlimited iced tea! We had some rest and went back to business right away. The single ladies invited me and Guian to visit the back of the island. Here are some of the photos!

I really enjoyed my first Snorkeling and Kayak experience on this island! I hope I can do it again on other islands and bodies of water. Guian and I had Kayak race with Ate Anne and Kuya Jun after we had photos at the Love Cave. More photos were taken and time passed really fast that we had to go back to resort already. Upon arriving, we went straight to the resort’s swimming pool, played with Baby Gillian on water and had more couple photos. Dinner time came, where I maxed out my tummy capacity, then we ended our first day with a Karaoke.

On the next day, Guian and I are the early birds so we had the chance to go around the resort.

After roaming around, we went directly to the buffet area to grab some breakfast and for the last time we hit the beach to do some Snorkeling again.

We visited the shark’s pen after but we didn’t hop into the pond. ’twas really an awesome weekend and the best way to begin my summer! To conclude our entire trip, you may want to watch Guian’s Eagle Point Resort 2013. Enjoy! ♥ ♥ ♥

Zen-Khea Nuptials

February 11, 2013

Hello again, dearest followers! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Chinese New Year (Feb. 10)!  It’s almost two months since I put something here and I think it would be best if my first post for 2013 will be one of the happiest moments I had when the year started. And of course, I am not just talking about my happiness, I am talking about a man and woman’s  best part of their lives. So let me share a special moment of Kuya Zen and Ate Khea.

The SE Weekend.

November 9-11, 2012. I was invited by my boyfriend’s best friend, Aica to join Young Abults Ministry (YAM) retreat at Bamboo Organ church, Las Piñas. I immediately agreed but as the date comes closer few issues were discussed. First, my age, since it’s required for participants to be 21 years old and above and another is, if I am not above 21 years old, I should be at least working. I did not qualify as 21 years old even if I’ll have my birthday the next week BUT since they’ve found out that I am a tutor for almost 2 years and used to work in a company before, I was able to join the weekend.

I actually brought my best friend, Jocel because I thought I’ll be out-of-place since they all came from the South. But I was totally wrong, because as we go to our respected rooms, Jocel and I automatically had two new friends! Ate Maye and Ate Shiela. :-)

Our very first morning at the place became so wonderful because we’re greeted by this beautiful rainbow.

I opt not to share more of the experience on this blog but I totally want to share how blessed and renewed we were after The SE Weekend through these last photos. Enjoy!

New friends. New family. I’m so glad to be a new member of YAMily. :-)

“She is not just hysterical, but also historical”

I’ve heard this joke many times especially from old couples when a woman brings back the past and takes it against her man. Since I am a feminist, I am not quite sure if I will disagree this time. But I guess, with my last post, I think if someone continues to overthink, they can really be historical in the future.

Personally, I usually ask about the past. It is not because I want to know something against you or something that you think I may gossip, I just have this urge to just know. Before, I used to be very insistent when I ask questions about someone’s past. But now, I’ve learned how to just wait and listen until they share things whole-heartedly. And yes, it is much more effective than forcing them to share about their lives. Especially when the stories are not always a good one and some might have a special cases or situation before that they don’t really want to talk about forever.

I am the type of person who shares almost everything. But I know that one must keep at least a story or two that he/she must just share to trusted people or person. But with regards about my narration about my past, I don’t really talk much in details. I mean, you may know some of the highlights of my life, but you don’t know EVERYTHING.

Somehow, I am learning the art of just learning from the past, living the present and preparing for the future. Being good at history may be good, but not all the time. We need not to use the mistakes (which we pray people around us have learned), failures, dark experiences, etc. against someone because we don’t know what he/she had been through to let go and get over that past.

Overthinking.

That moment when I actually don’t know where to start but I know I have a lot to put over here.

Okay! Let me begin with my overthinking self as a daughter. It probably started when I came to know all the things that are really happening inside and outside our home. From the finances, priorities and other issues. It’s sometimes good to think that the family got another head to think about the family, but the thing is, they got a problematic head over here, as in. I say it so because I think of the problem most of the time instead of thinking a solution. I am a great worrier and I know that’s not good but I can’t really help it. When it comes to family issues, I automatically get weak and become helpless of myself by just thinking of the situation. And the worse about me, when I think of the solution, I don’t think much of myself. Whether it will let me leave school for some time, become a zombie for almost half a year, etc. My solutions may sometimes lighten or might have solved some of the problems, but they’re most of the time temporary. Very temporary that while I’m still under one solution I am already WORRYING about the next one. I don’t know how to end this, but hopefully, my diploma can speak for myself and lead me where I’m supposed or meant to be.

Another one that I am really guilty of is my overthinking self as a partner.

P.S. I am not writing this down because I’m having problems with my boyfriend. I am just here to describe myself as an overthinker (“See.. Overthinking already..” :P )

Well, I admit that I am the type of person who have thought of 70 possibilities out of a hundred and would actually believe that 40 out of 100 can actually happen. I am not sure if my “man hater” self before affected this part of me, but according to my friends it really did. Well, I am not going to blame anyone else or even regret my old self for this present situation but I am pretty sure I will or I am about to fix this side of me.

Nobody wants to wake up in the middle of the night and recall all the conversation you had with him and over analyze everything even if there’s nothing wrong. Nobody wants to text their boyfriend or husband randomly because you remembered him in a random situation plus paranoia. And definitely, nobody wants to break someone’s heart or have their hearts broken just because of the unjustified, imaginary or movie-or-teleserye-like stories they just made up with their heads.

This may not be a wake-up call for you, but absolutely it is for me. I am not saying that by tomorrow I’ll be as free as the bird from worries, but I assure you that I will be a lesser of an overthinker than today.
